Founder and President · Ramax Search & Staffing
Financial services recruiting, hiring insight and career perspective from more than three decades in the industry.
Peter founded Ramax in 1991. He works with financial services employers and experienced professionals across the United States, bringing a specialist perspective to the people decisions behind a firm’s growth.

Peter leads a boutique recruiting firm serving investment managers, hedge funds, private equity and private credit businesses, banks, wealth management firms, RIAs, family offices and other financial organizations. Traditional financial services, particularly the buy side, remains central to Ramax’s work, alongside the evolving needs of wealth and advisory businesses.
That focus extends across functions and levels of responsibility. A search may involve finance and accounting, legal, compliance, risk, operations, investments, investor relations, technology or human resources. The starting point is the business need and the work the person will own.
Peter writes about hiring, compensation, recruiting and career decisions in financial services. His articles explore practical questions: what an employer needs from a role, how candidates can evaluate an opportunity, and which details deserve a closer conversation before either side makes a decision.
Market research and compensation articles identify their sources and review dates. Examples described as hypothetical are illustrations. They are intended to help readers think through a situation, rather than stand in for advice about a particular firm, offer or career move.
