Financial Services Recruiting in South Florida

A South Florida search may involve an investment firm adding leadership, a family office defining a key role or an established platform strengthening its team. Ramax recruits across financial services, with particular depth in the buy side and over 30 years of search experience.

South Florida and beyond

All of South Florida and its surrounding metropolitan areas.

We welcome conversations with financial services employers and professionals anywhere in the United States. Local, relocation, remote and hybrid searches can all be part of the discussion, depending on the role, the firm and the candidate’s needs. Tell us what you have in mind.

Serving all of South Florida and its surrounding metropolitan areas, with nationwide recruiting available for every assignment.

For over 30 years, firms have relied on Ramax for financial services hiring. We work with investment-led and regulated platforms where governance, growth and talent decisions intersect. These are examples of how we can help; a conversation lets us put your particular needs in context.

Define the location and the assignment together

Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and Palm Beach belong in the same regional conversation, but the office locations are not interchangeable. A person joining an investment firm needs to understand where colleagues work, which meetings require attendance and how travel fits into an ordinary week.

If a search involves relocation, establish the work arrangement before assuming the candidate will move. The discussion should cover the assignment as well as the location: what responsibility is transferring, who provides support and how the hire will work with leadership. Ramax can consider local professionals and national talent according to that brief.

Support the investment firm, not just one function

Our financial services coverage includes banks, hedge funds, private equity, private credit, investment firms, asset managers, RIAs, wealth managers and family offices. Employers can discuss CFO, COO, chief legal officer, general counsel, attorney and CCO searches, along with compliance, risk, accounting, finance, operations, investment and investor relations hiring.

For an illustrative new-office assignment, ask whether the person is joining a complete local team or coordinating with colleagues elsewhere. A finance or compliance leader may need access to people and information across offices. That working relationship should be part of the search, rather than something left for the new hire to resolve after joining.

Family office responsibility needs particular clarity

A family office role may combine technical work, adviser coordination and direct interaction with principals. Access to a principal does not automatically establish authority to act. We discuss who the person supports, which decisions require approval and how priorities are set when several requests arrive at once.

Candidates considering South Florida opportunities should ask the same questions. A familiar title can represent a broad assignment with a small support team or a more defined role within a larger organization. Understanding that difference helps both sides evaluate fit without prematurely exchanging sensitive information.

Questions that help define the search

  • Which South Florida office is the actual base for the role?
  • Is the person joining an established team or helping develop a function?
  • How will responsibilities be shared with colleagues and providers elsewhere?

Employers can begin with the problem they want the hire to address. Professionals can begin with the kind of responsibility they want next. You do not need to have every detail settled before speaking with Ramax.

Considering a wealth advisor or team move?

We also help wealth advisors, wealth managers, CFP® professionals and established teams explore firms and platforms that fit their goals. You may be looking for stronger support, a different advisory model or a clearer view of your options.

Location matters. The right fit can be national.
