Technology Liaison / Administrator

Position Overview:

Our client is a well capitalized and growing financial services firm with a sophisticated technology environment supporting multiple areas of the business. The firm combines the infrastructure and capabilities of a larger organization with the accessibility, visibility, and entrepreneurial culture of a smaller firm.

They are seeking a Technology Liaison / Administrator to play an important role in the day to day management of the firm's technology environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands on technology experience who wants broader exposure across systems, user access, technology vendors, security processes, compliance requirements, and employee support. Rather than being limited to a narrow help desk function, this individual will work closely with employees, technology providers, Compliance, Finance, and other areas of the organization.

As the business continues to grow, the role offers the opportunity to gain increasing responsibility and become a key internal resource supporting the firm's technology operations.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Coordinate technology onboarding and offboarding, including user accounts, system access, permissions, equipment setup, and access termination.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employee technology issues and coordinate with internal IT resources and outside technology providers through resolution.
  • Manage and track user access across systems, applications, and third party platforms.
  • Maintain accurate technology onboarding, offboarding, access, and equipment records.
  • Coordinate with technology vendors and maintain vendor contacts, agreements, renewal dates, and supporting documentation.
  • Collect and maintain SOC reports and other technology vendor documentation.
  • Maintain technology policies, procedures, internal checklists, and operating documentation.
  • Coordinate recurring technology and security testing, including phishing simulations and related follow up.
  • Document testing results and escalate issues to the appropriate technology or compliance resources.
  • Support technology related requests associated with internal reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations.
  • Communicate technology changes, system updates, outages, and other relevant information to employees.
  • Track open technology items and ensure issues, renewals, testing requirements, and other recurring responsibilities are completed on schedule.

Qualifications:

  •  2 +years of direct experience in IT support, technology administration, systems administration, desktop support, IT operations, or a similar technology focused role.
  • Hands on experience provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts, managing system access, and supporting employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Experience working with user permissions, application access, hardware, software, and common business technology platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting employee technology issues and coordinating with internal IT teams or managed service providers.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, or similar identity and access management environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with technology vendors, software providers, or managed IT service providers.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices such as phishing testing, access reviews, security awareness, or similar control activities.
  • Understanding of SOC reports, vendor risk documentation, or technology compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Experience within financial services, professional services, or another regulated business environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring technology tasks, documentation, deadlines, and follow up.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technology issues clearly to nontechnical employees.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate technical or security related issues.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling system access, employee information, and other sensitive technology related matters.

This is a strong opportunity for a technology professional who wants to move beyond a traditional support role and gain exposure to the broader technology, security, vendor, and operational infrastructure of a growing financial services organization.
