AVP, Wealth Advisory

Position Overview:

Our client is a nationally recognized, independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) managing over $50 billion in client assets, serving high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals, families, and institutions nationwide. The firm is experiencing accelerated, double-digit growth and is on track to become one of the next nationally recognized leaders in the wealth management industry.

To support this expansion, the firm is seeking Wealth Advisor Associates / Associate Vice Presidents to join its Private Wealth Division. This is an ideal opportunity for early-career advisors or financial planning professionals looking to expand their impact within a high-growth, entrepreneurial firm.

Working alongside senior advisors and subject matter experts in investment management, financial planning, and tax strategy, this role offers hands-on client exposure, structured professional development, and a clear path to future lead advisory roles. It is ideal for ambitious professionals who want to grow their careers within a sophisticated, client-first advisory platform—without the bureaucracy or sales-driven culture of larger institutions.

Responsibilities will include: (but not be limited to)

  • Support senior advisors in delivering comprehensive financial advice to HNW and UHNW clients across investments, financial planning, estate strategies, and tax coordination.
  • Prepare client meeting materials, financial plans, portfolio reviews, and follow-up action items to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  • Participate in client meetings and communications, building trust and deepening relationships over time.
  • Assist in new business development efforts, including research, proposal preparation, and prospect follow-up activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across investment management, tax strategy, estate planning, and client service to deliver holistic wealth management solutions.
  • Develop expertise in capital markets, portfolio construction, and wealth planning strategies through ongoing training and mentorship.
  • Utilize the firm’s technology and resources to streamline client service and support business growth.
  • Actively contribute to a team-oriented, entrepreneurial culture focused on client impact and professional development.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, private banking, or related fields.
  • Exposure to HNW/UHNW client service or financial planning preferred.
  • CFP® coursework completion or CFP® certification strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Series 65 or equivalent required (or willingness to obtain within a defined period).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; finance, economics, or business-related disciplines preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a professional, client-centric mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow into a future lead advisor role within a rapidly expanding national firm.
  • Interest in learning from seasoned industry leaders and contributing to a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
