Business Systems Analyst
Total Compensation is targeted at $150K-$225K. To be determined based on candidate's credentials, experiences, and potential value to the department / firm.

Business Systems Analyst
Our client is a global investment firm (~$15bil AUM) specializing in credit-related investments. The firm offers specialized funds and customized managed accounts with diverse return objectives. The firm offers a high yield, bank loans, distressed debt, securitized credit, equities, and shorts/hedges. Currently, they seek to hire a Business Systems Analyst to join their organization during an exciting time of transformation and growth.
Position Overview:
The Business Systems Analyst will work as a member of the Software Development team. The individual will serve as a liaison to all business areas and be responsible for requirements gathering, design, testing and supporting both front office and back office systems. The Business Systems Analyst role does require extensive experience using SQL. They will also play a significant role in providing production support of related systems and operations in a timely and professional manner. This dynamic role requires strong technical and analytical skills.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Work closely with internal clients to identify business needs and document business requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical/functional specifications for developers
- Document and train users on new processes, procedures and systems
- Provide day-to-day technical support and maintenance of a proprietary data warehouse and order management system
- Perform ad-hoc queries, using SQL, in response to inquiries from other departments
- Maintain data integrity across several platforms including internal systems and external parties
Qualifications
Specific Knowledge and Experience Required:
- B.S. and/or advanced degree in Computer Information Systems or related field
- Experience and knowledge in fixed income products and investment management
- Experience gathering and documenting business, functional and technical requirements
- Experience (5yrs +) and knowledge using SQL Server
- Proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and results oriented
Specific Knowledge and Experience Preferred:
- Experience supporting a trading and/or fund accounting system (Charles River, EZE, Geneva)
- Experience (3yrs +) and knowledge with ETL tools such as SSIS or DTS
- Experience (5yrs +) and knowledge using SSRS
