COMPENSATION is targeted at $100K - $110K TOTAL. (Determined based on candidate’s credentials, performance and value added to the firm / department).
Senior Accountant
Our client is a well- established, dynamic private equity firm that strategically invests in innovative technologies, services, and products. Currently they seek to hire a Junior Accountant for their growing finance team. This growth position will offer an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to play a key role in the current and future growth of a rapidly expanding team & firm.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

Prepare and/or review correspondence with limited partners to address inquires as needed

Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual reporting packages for Director of Finance approval

Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual financial statements for Director of Finance approval

Prepare and/or review of capital calls and distributions for Director of Finance approval
-
Prepare and/or review carry calculations for Director of Finance approval
-
Prepare and/or review Net and Gross IRR calculations
-
Coordinate the delivery of capital call and distributions notices to the limited partners
-
Prepare and/or review investor allocations and partners’ capital statements
-
Assist in the coordination of the audit and tax work throughout the year

Work with the finance team and investment professionals to prepare year end documentation for portfolio company valuations in conjunction with ASC 820

Prepare and/or review all wires/transfers

Manage team staff and all day-to-day team deliverables and functions

Assist in the development and training of new team members as required

Coordinate and completes special projects as directed

Ability to multitask; excellent written and oral communication, organization, time management, planning and problem-solving skills required

Ability to meet approved schedules and deadlines

Implement the new accounting system with the Director of Finance

Review of all journal entries and general ledger maintenance for the Fund Accounting and Management Company Accounting
Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

CPA is a plus
-
3 - 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting at a fund administration firm or at a private equity fund

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Creative problem-solving ability and sound judgment – ability to use own initiative and take responsibility for decisions

Capability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
