Position Overview:

Our client is a leading investment management firm serving a broad client base including financial advisors, institutions and individual investors. They offer multiple investment strategies focusing on infrastructure investment across a variety of providing institutional-quality, actively managed solutions with a performance-centered mindset.

As a buyside infrastructure fund that currently invests in power generation assets, they specialize in the acquisition and management of diversified income-producing renewable energy power facilities, energy efficiency projects and other sustainable development investments.

Currently in active growth mode, they seek to hire a Senior Associate, for their expanding Investor Operations team. This newly created position will help to support the expanding suite of alternative investment products offered by the firm.

The Team is responsible for providing forward-facing service to firm distribution partners (RIA firms and Broker-dealer firms) in addition to managing all operational aspects of offering securities products. The role will be heavily focused on the operational side of the business, although may at times be a combination of services and operations.  

 

Responsibilities (will include but not be limited to):

  • Provide oversight and controls for routine investment events, such as distributions, liquidation events, commission payments, price changes, and tax reporting cycles.
  • Manage outbound mailings/communications to investors and distribution partners.
  • Assist with annual audit requests from investor entities.
  • Collaborate with third-party service providers such as our Transfer Agent, Custodian Bank, and managing Broker-dealer to ensure day-to-day operational effectiveness.
  • Support Transfer Agent and/or service provider initiatives, system applications, and enhancements.
  • Become a steward of shareholder and financial data management, creating ongoing and ad hoc reporting solutions for internal and external partners.  
  • As an extension of the Business Development Team, assist the wholesalers with firm onboarding, selling agreement management, and balancing of sales data within Salesforce.
  • Support the Director of the Team with building operational processes and controls for corporate initiatives.  

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of operational or administrative experience with alternative investments or related investment products
  • Previous experience with Transfer Agent (SS&C, and their proprietary systems is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with a knack for using Excel
  • Capable of critical thinking, with indisputable attention to detail
  • Committed to accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to remain organized when managing multiple deliverables at once  
  • Collaborative team player with ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and fast-paced business environment

 

Currently, the firm has adopted a hybrid work model (2-3 days in office) and anticipates same for foreseeable future.
