Manager/ Senior Manager, Finance Transformation 

Position Overview:

Our client is a leading global professional services firm, universally recognized as best in class. They serve as a trusted adviser to the world's foremost businesses, governments, and institutions.  

 

Currently, they are seeking to hire a Manager for their rapidly expanding Financial Transformation team.   Ideal candidates will have demonstrated expertise with SAP S/4 Hana Finance ERP (preferably in a cloud setting).  

 

Reporting into the firm’s Global Finance Function (which includes Accounting & Financial Management, Audit, Planning & Analysis, Controls, Insurance, Tax and Treasury), this position will help drive simplification, standardization, digital enablement and automation of end to end processes with workflow design and technology as key enablers.  They prioritize an agile way of working and design thinking approaches as core components to service delivery.

 

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

The Finance Transformation Manager role will work closely with key stakeholders from across the finance spectrum as the firm goes through the various stages of transformation, development, and implementation.  The Manager will drive end to end workflow/process design with "Fit to standard" approach, help functional workstreams (Record to Report, Tax, Performance Management, Opportunity to Engage, Source to Pay) to set goals, achieve agreed outcomes and measure business value created by standardization, digitization and automation of workflows.


  • Lead Finance transformation initiatives as part of overall Finance transformation workstreams and initiatives
  • Guide and coach functional workstreams to sharpen transformation vision, goals and outcomes using standard / structured frameworks. For example - "Why" and "What" of problem statement, goals, outcomes, future state design, pain points to address and experiences to create to invoke right behaviors and incentives
  • Bring in-depth functional expertise combined with functional knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana Finance ERP platform to assess, guide and hold teams accountable to "Fit to standard" workflow/process design
  • Work closely with the organization change teams on invoke right mid-sets, behaviors, incentives, adoption, communication and skill building for a sustained change to maximize the transformation reach and impact

 

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Finance operations, transformation, change management with SAP S/4 Hana Finance ERP product knowledge
  • Bachelors Degree Required, Advanced Degree preferred (MBA, CPA, MA)
  • Operational understanding of agile/scrum principles of project management, continuous improvement, process design, optimization, lean methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana Finance ERP workflows (functional aspects of Record to Report, Tax, Performance Management, Opportunity to Engage, Source to Pay).
  • Strong entrepreneur with excellent continuous improvement mind-set and problem solving skills.
  • Strong manager / expert working collaboratively across global functions, lead interdisciplinary ambitious teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels
