Position Overview:

Our client is a leading global professional services firm, recognized as best in class. They serve as a trusted adviser to the world's foremost businesses, governments, and institutions. Currently they seek to hire a Pension Expert to serve a key role as part of their Global Benefits team, which supports the design and delivery of the Firm’s benefit plans, including medical, dental, disability, life, accident, and retirement programs. Position will work closely with Global Benefits team members and stakeholders across the Firm, including senior leadership globally.

 

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Play an active role in evaluating, shaping, and recommending updates on a range of benefits programs, with a significant focus on the Firm’s retirement / pension plans.    
  • Work closely with professionals from other functions as well as key office contacts ranging from local benefits representatives to pension committees.
  • Collaborate with internal clients on plan modifications, reviews, and governance matters.
  • Provide insight and analysis to develop recommendations to appropriate firm / practice leadership
  • Serve as a technical expert on governance policy and compliance, reporting to the Firm’s Director of Global Benefits Planning.
  • Play a key role in evaluating benefit program options under consideration across various regions ensuring that the outcome is consistent with global benefits policy and guidelines (including vendor options, design, implementation, communication).
  • Coordinate with key stakeholder functions throughout the firm (Tax, Legal, etc).
  • Responsible for developing and advancing necessary recommendations to relevant governance.

 

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (preferred)
  • 6-9 years of related experience, including minimum 2 years working on retirement plan matters & pension plans (domestic and international)
  • Superb problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and shape recommendations for senior leadership
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Significant technical expertise, ability to lead highly complex initiatives, and the confidence to guide leadership on a range of matters
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with key strategic partners across multiple Firm functions including tax, finance, and legal
  • A customer service mindset, with solid judgment/professionalism when handling sensitive issues
  • Personal initiative with the ability to work independently, or among a team, in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
